Then you've found the right place!  The UO Fast Break Club is dedicated to supporting the team in a number of exciting ways that YOU can be involved in!

We are committed to raising the level of knowledge and support for Oregon Women's Basketball by sponsoring these great fan activities...

• Post-game MEET-AND-GREET SOCIALS with coaches, players and their families
• HALF-TIME BINGO supporting the Teresa Smith Women's Basketball Scholarship Endowment Fund and the Women's Basketball program

FBC Treadmill Fun-raiser!

The Fast Break Club is looking for a few good treadmill walkers to help raise money for cancer research.

The walking – or running if you prefer – doesn’t happen until Feb. 16-18 but there is a deadline of this Friday, Feb. 3, to sign up for turns on the treadmill.

The idea is to get folks to pledge donations based on the distance the walkers will cover during their 20-minute shifts. 

The treadmills will be set up on the MKA concourse (before the game and at halftime) and courtside during the women’s basketball games Thursday, Feb. 16, and Saturday, Feb. 18.  You will have a great view of the game!

Sign-up sheets for treadmill shifts will be available at Thursday’s pre-game chalk talk. Anyone who wants to sign up but who won’t be at the chalk talk should contact FBC president Judy Brower at jujulein(at)comcast.net.

CHALK TALK FOR FBC MEMBERS TOMORROW, 2/2

This Thursday’s chalk talk for UO Fast Break Club members will begin at 6:10 p.m. in the Founders Club just down the hall from McArthur Club.  Members should have received the details in their email today.

An assistant coach will give FBC members scouting information on Utah as well as points of emphasis in the game plan.

Oregon fans have a chance to give Amanda Johnson the national recognition she deserves as a finalist for the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award.

The 6-foot-2 forward has missed Oregon’s last 11 games with a left thumb fracture but entered her final year in a UO uniform as one of the most exceptional seniors on and off the court in the 2012 national class. 

To read more about the award from GoDucks click here but the important thing is that FAN BALLOTING COUNTS FOR 1/3 OF THE TOTAL SCORE with the remaining 2/3 determined by NCAA Division I coaches and national media members.

We know Amanda deserves this and she is one of only two student-athletes from the Pac-12 Conference, the other being Stanford’s Nnemkadi Ogwumike, so...

Ducks win over Arizona

Ducks win 87-73.  The Ducks make 12 3-pointers in the win over Arizona.  Lexi Peterson who took over point guard duties in the second half was high-scorer with 17 points.

Others in double figures were Jasmine Holliday and Ariel Thomas with 16 points each, Jordan Loriel with 12 points, and Danielle Love with 11 points.

Coming up for Members of the UO Fast Break Club....

Chalk Talk on Thursday 1/12 & Social on Saturday 1/14!
 
The next PRE-GAME chalk talk for Fast Break Club members with UO Coaching Staff will be held before Thursday night’s basketball game with Arizona.

The club’s second social of the season is coming up on Saturday after the 2 p.m. Arizona State game.  The speaker will be Lisa Peterson, the new senior associate athletic director.

UO Fast Break Club members should have each received your emailed notice with details about the next two Fast Break Club events.


Last month's Chalk Talk with Assistant Coach Shandrika Lee before the CSUN game was eye-opening and informative and the Fast Break Club members had to stay on their toes for Coach Shan's quick quiz on the meaning of the coaching code to the players during the game.  The next Chalk Talk should be just as interesting!
